Bedford Medical Clinic is a private practice. Consultation fees are payable in full on the day of your consultation.

EFTPOS and all major credit cards are accepted. Accounts are transmitted directly to Medicare – your Medicare rebate will be reimbursed to your bank almost immediately. Discounted fees may be negotiated for patients in financial difficulties or those needing frequent visits to the surgery. Payment plans are available if needed. In these circumstances, please discuss this with your doctor. Bulk billing is not available Saturdays – this includes concession card holders.
Children/Students
Children 16 years & under will be bulk billed, including Saturdays.
Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVA) card holders
Department of Veteran's Affairs (DVA) card holders will be bulk billed.
Government concession card holders
Please bring your current Government concession card with you to each appointment. Government concession card holders will be bulk billed or charged a reduced fee at the discretion of your doctor. Saturday appointments will not be bulk billed.
International Students
If you are an international student, please bring your valid Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Worldcare member card and photo ID to your appointment. A gap of $20 is payable for your consultation. Children covered by OSHC Worldcare do not pay a gap. Bedford Medical Clinic does not issue accounts, nor accepts gap-only payments, unless you have an OSHC Worldcare card.
International Travellers and Workers
If you are an international traveller or on a working visa you are required to pay the full consultation fee on the day of your consult.
Non-attendance
Failure to attend scheduled appointments may result in being charged a non-attendance fee of $55. This fee will need to be paid before any future appointments can be made. This fee is not claimable on Medicare.
