Histopathology
Histopathology refers to the examination of a biopsy or surgical specimen by a pathologist.
Following surgery, any histopathology results that report a skin cancer will be followed up by a call to you from either your doctor or a nurse.
All other histopathology results will be seen as complete with no further action required and can be discussed with you at your next appointment with your doctor.
If you’d like an appointment with your doctor to receive details of your histopathology results, it is recommended your appointment be booked on the same day your removal of sutures appointment is made with a nurse.
