Effective pre-cancer skin treatment services
Bedford Medical Clinic offers a range of effective pre-cancer skin treatment services including Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) and Picato Clinics for treating skin conditions such as:
- Sun damage
- Pre-cancers
- Thin skin cancers
Prior to treating your skin with PDT or Picato, a Dysplasia Clinic appointment is necessary to:
- inform you of the different treatments available
- plan your treatment
- discuss the costs of the various treatments
Patients are welcome to instigate booking a Dysplasia Clinic appointment with a Practice Nurse to discuss the various options available to treat and manage their skin.
A doctor may also request a Dysplasia Clinic appointment is necessary upon seeing your skin, or after a Molechecks appointment or even after receiving histopathology results from a theatre procedure.
Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) - wound healing treatments
The equipment used for Photodynamic Therapy is also very helpful for wound healing, as it can reduce wound healing times significantly.
